Hunter Tarvin, LCSW, RYT-200

Hunter received her BA in Psychology from Syracuse University. She then obtained a Master of Social Work (MSW) from New York University (NYU) and is also a Certified Yoga Instructor (RYT-200). Hunter is trained in the Gottman Method for Couples Therapy. She holds a license to practice in the state of New Jersey; Her license number is: 44SC06482200.

Through her clinical training, Hunter developed a strong understanding of trauma’s impact on the mind and body, which informs her work. She creates a collaborative, nonjudgmental space grounded in empathy and curiosity, where individuals feel heard, seen, and safe. She also incorporates meditation practices, breath-based somatic techniques, and yoga-informed mind-body approaches to support overall emotional and physical well-being.

She specializes in working with teens, adults, and couples navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and trauma. Hunter utilizes Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and a psychodynamic framework to support clients in making meaningful change.

Outside of her work, Hunter enjoys yoga, spending time with her yellow lab, Phoebe, and spending quality time with friends and family. She values laughter, connection, and bringing a sense of warmth and joy to those around her.
